Timekeeper Chao is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Chao that can increase their bonded individual's rewards.

Appearance

Timekeeper Chao have brown pudding-like bodies with round, waterdrop-like heads. They also have large eyes, no noses or mouths, round torsos that are smaller than their heads, smooth feet with no legs, and arms with no visible hands. In addition, neither their arms nor feet have digits. They also have a white orb above their heads, short and round tails, and a small set of wings on their backs. For attire, the Timekeeper Chao has a dark brown top hat with gears and clock hands on it, as well as a dark brown jacket. It also carries a stopwatch with it.

Overview

In Sonic Speed Simulator, Timekeeper Chao is a collectible pet of the "Epic" rarity.

• It was available from the Grinding Gears event. Players were awarded two Timekeeper Chao for defeating 100 enemies with a Tornado, and 3 Timekeeper Chao for collecting Rings with a Tornado.

• It is also a reward from the v2.1 Android Anomaly Redux Event. Players are rewarded 5 Timekeeper Chao throughout the event for collecting Rebirth Energy from the Time Trials in Green Hill Zone. Players were rewarded 2 Timekeeper Chao for collecting 200 Rebirth Energy, and another 3 Timekeeper Chao for collecting 300 Rebirth Energy.

In gameplay, Timekeeper Chao can be equipped to the playable character, allowing them to fly by the side of the playable character as they move around. In addition, when equipped, Timekeeper Chao will grant additional Experience Points whenever the playable character obtains a Chaos Orb and additional Rings whenever they pick up a single Ring. The player can as well level up Timekeeper Chao for a cost of Rings and/or Red Star Rings at the Upgrade Machine, with level 25 being the maximum level. Leveling up a Timekeeper Chao will improve its reward-granting attributes. Additionally, the player can fuse a Timekeeper Chao by collecting five Timekeeper Chao, leveling all of them up to maximum, and bringing them to the Fusion Machine. Fusing a Timekeeper Chao will result in a singular fused Chao at level 1.

Powers and abilities

Timekeeper Chao are capable of flight. In addition, they possess the power to increase the rewards granted to the person they have bonded with.
