The Boxy Chao is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Chao that can increase their bonded individual's rewards.

Appearance

The Boxy Chao is a light pink Chao with purple appendages. It also has two big eyes and a pink sphere above its box head.

For attire, the Boxy Chao wears a cardboard box on its head with packaging tape over the top of it. The box also has a hole in the front for the Chao to see.

Overview

In Sonic Speed Simulator, the Boxy Chao is a collectible pet of the "Special" rarity. It could be obtained by redeeming the code "lankyboxbox" in the Shop following the game's update to the v1.22.1 version.

In gameplay, Boxy Chao can be equipped to the playable character, allowing them to fly by the side of the playable character as they move around. In addition, when equipped, Boxy Chao will grant additional Experience Points whenever the playable character obtains a Chaos Orb. The player can as well level up Boxy Chao for a cost of Rings and/or Red Star Rings at the Upgrade Machine, with level 25 being the maximum level. Leveling up a Boxy Chao will improve its reward-granting attributes. Because the player can only have 1 Boxy Chao via the code, Boxy Chao are not capable of being fused.

Powers and abilities

Boxy Chao are capable of flight. In addition, they possess the power to increase the rewards granted to the person they have bonded with.

• The Boxy Chao's name and appearance are meant as a reference to the Roblox YouTube channel "LankyBox". This is one of the two Chao in Sonic Speed Simulator which references the channel, the other being the Foxy Chao.
