The Spirit Chao is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Chao that can increase their bonded individual's rewards.

Appearance

Spirit Chao have white pudding-like bodies with round, waterdrop-like heads. They also have round torsos that are smaller than their heads, and arms with no visible hands. In addition, their arms don't have digits. They also have a floating purple dot above their heads, purple tips on their arms and head points, pale bellies, short and round tails, and a small set of wings on their backs. However, unlike normal Chao, they have pitch black void-like eyes and lack legs.

Overview

In Sonic Speed Simulator, the Spirit Chao is a collectible pet of the "Legendary" rarity. It was obtainable 4 times. Initially it was introduced as "Legendary" friend which could be unlocked by purchasing it on a Podium during the Boo Bash Event, 499 Robux for 1 and 1699 for a pack of 5. However, following the 2.0 update, its method of unlocking was changed so it could be obtained by purchasing it on it's Podium in Lost Valley, which was hidden away out of bounds behind Arsenal Pyramid. Then, it was later obtainable again by getting to Level 7 of the Premium track during Season 6 of the Fast Pass. It is currently obtainable by getting to Levels 7 and 12 of the Free track during Season 13 of the Fast Pass.

In gameplay, Spirit Chao can be equipped to the playable character, allowing them to fly by the side of the playable character as they move around. In addition, when equipped, Spirit Chao will grant additional XP whenever the playable character obtains a Ring and additional Damage whenever they attack an enemy or a boss, along with additional Luck.

The player can as well level up Spirit Chao for a cost of Rings and/or Red Star Rings at the Upgrade Machine, with level 25 being the maximum level. Leveling up a Spirit Chao will improve its reward-granting attributes. Additionally, the player can fuse a Spirit Chao by collecting five Spirit Chao, leveling all of them up to the maximum, and bringing them to the Fusion Machine. Fusing a Spirit Chao will result in a singular fused Chao at level 1.

Powers and abilities

Spirit Chao are capable of flight. In addition, they possess the power to increase the rewards granted to the person they have bonded with.
