The Precursor Tablet is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. They are tablets scattered around the Twilight Cage by the Precursors.

Description

The Precursor Tablets contain information about the Twilight Cage and the entity known as Argus, who is believed to have caused the Argus Event. They describe the Twilight Cage as a prison for races that have grown particularly powerful on other worlds, and claim that the Cage cannot be escaped by ordinary means. Sonic and friends are asked to find them by Nestor the Wise, who is then able to translate them.
