Temporal Field (ハイパーフィールド, Haipāfīrudo^?, lit. "Hyper Field") is a POW move used by E-123 Omega in Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. When performing this move, Omega uses a purple energy sphere that phases a friend and makes him/her Hyper.

Description

When performing Temporal Field, Omega walks up in front of his team, before turning his torso 180 degree around so that he is looking at his team. Omega then forms a temporal field in the form of a purple pulsating sphere and deploys it to a team member. The chosen team member will then be surrounded by a pulsating purple dome as Omega returns to his team position, and will remain so until Temporal Field wears off.

In gameplay, when performing Temporal Field, the player is able to give any of his/hers characters in battle the Hyper status effect for a few rounds and as well grant Phased. The higher the level of Temporal Field is, the greater effect will the Hyper status effect have on the target.

Real-Time Interaction

When performing Temporal Field in gameplay, the player has to complete a series of real-time events by performing certain actions on the Touch Screen, in order to execute Temporal Field optimally. For these actions, the player has to touch the inside of six circles in succession when the outer circles overlap the inner circles. Missing or not touching these circles correctly will result in Omega failing to perform Temporal Field.
