The machine part^[2] is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. They are small objects, with different shapes and colors, stored inside boxes.

Description

In Sonic Frontiers, the machine parts are small objects found in the Mechanical Collectible story quest. They resemble gears, nuts, bolts, and screws, and come in different colors.

In Shadow Generations, machine parts have a slightly different appearance and range of colors.

Overview

In Sonic Frontiers, the machine parts appear exclusively in the Mechanical Collectible quest. In this game, they are used in order to fix one of the Ancients' weapons.^[1]

In gameplay, the machine parts can be found stored inside the boxes found throughout the quest, each one dropping a few parts when destroyed. During the quest, a counter is displayed on the top of the screen, displaying the number of machine parts the player has collected.

In Shadow Generations, machine parts can be found across White Space, and are collected similar to Memory Tokens. Orbot and Cubot need 80 of them in order to build an escape rocket so they can reunite with Doctor Eggman.
