In Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and the lock-on game Sonic 3 & Knuckles, the Flybot767s are enemies that are exclusively found in Launch Base Zone.

In gameplay, the Flybot767s attack separately in certain sections, but they can also be summoned by the numerous alarm systems throughout the Zone, such as the in the beginning of Act 1. When attacking, they fly in from the right side of the screen and dive-bomb into the player. If the player dodges their attack, the Flybot767s will turn around and repeat their attack. Despite this, the Flybot767s can be easily destroyed otherwise with a Spin Jump and other related attacks from the player. Upon destruction, they will release an Animal and award the player 100 points.
