This is the transcript of the Sonic X Shadow Generations: Dark Beginnings episode, "To the ARK".

Final

[The episode begins with Team Dark infiltrating a G.U.N. base. There are explosions everywhere.]

Rouge: So, G.U.N funded the research that created you and when they got you, they sealed you away for fifty years.

Shadow: Hmph.

[A door opens and Team Dark enters the room. Rouge begins to type on the keyboard, with Shadow and Omega following behind.]

Rouge: My point is, don't get too caught up on any vendettas tonight.

Shadow: [Crosses his arms and closes his eyes] G.U.N. is not my enemy tonight, [Team Dark faces a Blue Falcon] just an obstacle in my way. [Smiles]

Omega: I call dibs!

[The Blue Falcon fires multiple missiles at Team Dark. Omega goes to attack the Blue Falcon, shooting at it rapidly. A missile flies past Omega and Shadow grabs onto the missile, launching it back up at the Blue Falcon. The G.U.N. Soldier inside the Blue Falcon sees this, and Shadow lets go of the missile, causing the G.U.N soldier to gasp and try to retaliate by firing more homing missiles. Shadow teleports on top of the Blue Falcon and grabs the missile, launching it directly into the Blue Falcon. The G.U.N. soldier tries to get a clear shot at Shadow, but Shadow's teleporting makes it impossible to track him. As Shadow free-falls, the Blue Falcon fires more homing missiles. Shadow destroys several mid-air before clutching the yellow Chaos Emerald.]

Shadow: Chaos Control!

[Time freezes and Shadow destroys the rest of the missiles, causing a huge explosion. Shadow does a Spin Dash straight into the Blue Falcon, sending it tumbling out of the sky. Shadow faces the G.U.N. soldier, which causes the soldier to panic, but Shadow ejects the G.U.N. soldier from the Blue Falcon. The Blue Falcon crashes into a tower and Shadow boards the elevator leading to the shuttle.]

Omega: I wanted to destroy it!

Shadow: Hm. [Shadow sits inside the shuttle.] Shadow to Rouge. I'm in position.

[Rouge begins to type on a keyboard. Omega is standing together with Rouge.]

Rouge: Copy that and initiating launch.

[With everything set, Rouge presses a button, initiating the countdown, and the shuttle takes off. However, the system detects an unauthorized launch, much to Rouge's confusion. Gun Beetles, along with the base's turrets and machine guns, prepare to open fire.]

Rouge: [Panicking] Omega! Hurry! You have to take out those guns!

[Commander Abraham Tower steps forward. Rouge looks at the Commander.]

Commander: This is Commander Abraham Tower. All forces - stand down.

[The G.U.N. forces stop the attack. The song "Without You" begins to play in the background.]

Rouge: [Sigh of relief] Abe! I brought that intel you requested.

[A screen appears which has the Time Eater on it.]

Commander: And aided in the destruction of millions in G.U.N. assets.

Rouge: Sorry, but Shadow needed some help saving the world.

Commander: [Sighs] If that's the case... despite all that's passed between us, he saved the world from Black Doom, he should've known I would've supported him if he'd asked.

Rouge: When has Shadow ever asked for permission?

Commander: You could've talked him down, Rouge!

Rouge: [Laughs quietly] There's only one person who could ever do that.

Commander: True... and she was lost to us a long time ago...

[As the shuttle heads toward the Space Colony ARK, Shadow begins to reflect on a possible future he could've shared with Maria. However, Shadow realizes this, and he stops himself.]

Shadow: [Closes his eyes] Stop it. [Opens his eyes again] That life was taken from me long ago. I need to focus on the mission at hand. [The shuttle launches itself further toward the Space Colony ARK.] A threat lurks aboard the ARK, and I must eliminate it.

[The camera pans itself up to show the Moon and Space Colony ARK. The episode ends and the credits roll.]

[The episode starts with a flashback of the Space Colony ARK, fifty years ago. Maria and Abraham are sitting at a desk doing schoolwork.]

Abraham: Ugh! This is impossible!

Shadow: Heh. [Abraham looks up in shock.] It's pathetically easy.

[Maria and Abraham look to Shadow, who is leaning against a wall. Abraham stands up.]

Abraham: Shut up! What do you know? You're just a monster anyway!

Maria: [Stands up] Abe! Don't be mean!

Abraham: [Angrily] But he is! I saw the professor make him with that alien!

[A flashback to the Death Leech's pod is shown behind Abraham.]

Maria: Shadow isn't a monster. He's special. He's my friend. And it breaks my heart you two don't get along.

Shadow: I'm sorry if I upset you, Maria... and Abraham.

Abraham: [Quietly] Yeah, sorry, whatever.

[Maria grabs each of the boy's hands and puts them together in a handshake.]

Maria: Thank you. Both of you. When we return to Earth, I hope we can all still be together.

[Scene Change: Present Day]

[Team Dark speed across a hilly field.]

Rouge: So, G.U.N funded the research that created you.

Shadow: Yes. They wanted the ultimate weapon.

Rouge: And when they got you, they sealed you away for fifty years. My point is, don't get too caught up on any vendettas tonight.

Shadow: G.U.N. is not my enemy tonight, just an obstacle in my way.

[The camera zooms out as Team Dark approach the G.U.N. base. Omega's arm rips open the door into the base, completely demolishing it. As Shadow begins to walk through, Omega puts his arm out to halt him so he can walk out first. Rouge flies past the both of them, giggling. Rouge begins to type on the keyboard, with Shadow and Omega following behind.]

Rouge: Good! The spacecraft is on standby. I can initiate the launch protocol from here. You can fly that thing, right?

Shadow: Of course. I am the ultimate lifeform.

Omega: Unless that shoots you down first.

[The light of the Blue Falcon flashes through the window as it flies.]

Shadow: An LZ-12R Blue Falcon. Hmph. They must be really scared.

Rouge: Cover Shadow until I can get him launched. I'll give you the coordinates for another Eggman base in return.

Omega: This exchange is acceptable. [Omega changes his hand into a long cannon.] Come, Shadow. Let us ruin their night.

Shadow: [Smiles] Hmph.

[The Blue Falcon fires multiple missiles at Team Dark. Omega goes to attack the Blue Falcon, shooting at it rapidly. A missile flies past Omega and Shadow grabs onto the missile, launching it back up at the Blue Falcon. The G.U.N. Soldier inside the Blue Falcon sees this, and Shadow lets go of the missile, causing the G.U.N soldier to gasp and try to retaliate by firing more homing missiles. Shadow teleports on top of the Blue Falcon and grabs the missile, launching it directly into the Blue Falcon. The G.U.N. soldier tries to get a clear shot at Shadow, but Shadow's teleporting makes it impossible to track him. As Shadow free-falls, the Blue Falcon fires more homing missiles. Shadow destroys several mid-air before clutching the yellow Chaos Emerald.]

Shadow: Chaos Control!

He hops across the cranes and railing of the base before jumping down to see the Blue Falcon below him, firing hundreds of missiles at Shadow. Before any of them can reach him, Shadow retaliates by summoning hundreds of Chaos Spears, which form in a way to resemble stars. Shadow crosses his arms in the sky as the Chaos Spears and missiles collide, creating huge explosions. Shadow does a flurry of Spin Dashs straight into the Blue Falcon. Shadow faces the G.U.N. soldier, which causes the soldier to panic, but Shadow ejects the G.U.N. soldier from the Blue Falcon. The Blue Falcon crashes into a tower and Shadow boards the elevator leading to the shuttle.]

Shadow: Hmph. [Shadow sits inside the shuttle.] Shadow to Rouge. I'm in position.

[Rouge begins to type on a keyboard. Omega is standing together with Rouge.]

Rouge: [Panicking] Omega! Hurry! You have to take out those guns!

[Commander Abraham Tower steps forward. Rouge looks at the Commander.]

[The turret comes to a standstill and lowers.]

Rouge: [Sigh of relief] Abe! I brought that intel you requested.

[A screen appears which has the Time Eater on it.]

Rouge: Sorry, but Shadow needed some help saving the world.

[As the shuttle heads toward the Space Colony ARK, Shadow looks up to the Moon. The camera pans itself up to show the Moon and Space Colony ARK.]

[Scene Change: Space Colony ARK, fifty years ago]

Maria: [Reaching her hand out] When we can start our new lives on Earth, we'll see all the world has to offer and learn all there is to know first-hand! [Looks at Shadow] Won't it be lovely, Shadow?

[Shadow turns away from Maria.]

[Scene Change: Field]

Shadow: Maria, I don't know if it will be right for me. I'm not like you. What if I can't find where I belong?

[Maria gently puts her hand on Shadow's face and turns it towards her.]

Maria: I believe in you. With your courage, [Maria hugs Shadow, causing all the flowers in the field to illuminate.] you can do anything.

[Shadow's eyes begin to shake.]

Maria: And if you ever have trouble, you can always count on me to help you.

[Maria fades away into sparkles, leaving Shadow alone.]

Shadow: [Opens his eyes] Stop it. There's no point distracting myself with such foolish thoughts. Besides, that life was taken from me long ago. All that's left for me is an endless line of battles. I thought I'd left my past behind me. [Smiles weakly] Here it is, haunting me and prompting me to act. I need to focus on the mission at hand.

[Shadow quickly thrusts the controls forward, giving the shuttle's engines a huge burst of speed. It zooms towards the ARK.]

Shadow: A threat lurks aboard the ARK, and I must eliminate it.

[Scene Change: Space Colony ARK, Present Day]

[A lab in the ARK is shown, filled with broken glass and torn wires. Black Doom's silhouette takes up the room. His eyes open and shine brightly.]
