Seaside Square is, true to its name, a large square-shaped arena located on an atoll. The outer layer has temple flooring, the middle layer has grass, and the inner layer has sand with a grass-covered mound in the middle.
Two missions in the console/PC version of Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing take place here, both of which involve the character Sonic the Hedgehog: "Treasure Island!" and "Save the Day Sonic!!". In the former mission, Sonic races around the arena picking up the many Rings that appear, while in the latter mission, Sonic has to defeat an Egg Hammer while avoiding the many Egg Pawns.
In the Nintendo DS version, only one mission takes place here: "Reach for the Stars". As Sonic, the player must drive through the green gates within 70 seconds.
