I feel so... so used!

— Pudding, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed

Pudding (プリン Purin?) is a main character and antagonist from the Space Channel 5 series. She is a reporter for Channel 42 and is an ever-persistent rival of Ulala, as well as a recurring savior of the Milky Way Galaxy. Pudding can usually be spotted hovering around on her personal vehicle, the Spacebird 42, or challenging and antagonizing fellow reporters and celebrities.

Appearance

Pudding is a woman with pale peach skin, light blue eyes and long, teal-green braids held together in a large, blue hairband on the top of her head. She wears light blue eyeshadow and light pink lipstick. For attire, Pudding wears her outfit from the original Space Channel 5, which consists of a short, sleeveless and strapless blue dress. She wears long white gloves that extend halfway up her upper arms, a pair of thigh-high white boots with blue heels, and a set of propulsion canisters on her back that are blue in color. She also wears a pair of blue headphones, as well as a blue choker. On the left side of her chest, Pudding has a pink marking that reads "42", signifying her affiliation with Channel 42.

In Sega Superstars Tennis, when Pudding’s Superstar State is activated, her attire changes to her Space Channel 5: Part 2 outfit. She now wears a blue crop top and skirt set, fishnet stockings, as well as shorter elbow-length gloves and knee-high boots.

Game appearances

Sega All-Stars series

Sega Superstars

In Sega Superstars, Pudding's name appears on the Space Channel 5 mini-game scoreboard.

Sega Superstars Tennis

In Sega Superstars Tennis, Pudding is unlocked at the Space Channel 5 Mission Planet by winning a singles championship. Pudding’s ability-type is Control.

Her Superstar State is Guitar Showdown, where she hits the ball to go in many directions at great speeds, similar to Ulala's Superstar State. During her Superstar State cutscene, Pudding strums her guitar several times, while also changing her outfit from her original to her more recent look. When the opponent hits the tennis ball, after Pudding has hit it during her Superstar State, the opponent will be pushed back at great force. If another opponent activates their Superstar State before hitting the ball after Pudding has unleashed her Superstar State, she has a small chance (20%) to cancel out the ability’s effect, as long as the character is not a Power-Type (which the chance is reduced to 5%).

In Sega Superstars Tennis, Pudding carries a pink and yellow tennis racket with a pink heart printed in the center of the net piece.

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed

In Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, Pudding drives a green, futuristic car similar to her hovercraft, the Spacebird 42, with blue and yellow wheels reading "Space Channel 5". She is unlocked for 50 stars (in World Tour, Twilight Engine) on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U, but for 64 stars on the Nintendo 3DS version. Also, Pudding, like most other characters in the game, are absent from the 2014 mobile version of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.

Her All-Star Move plays music from her first encounter in Space Channel 5: Part 2, "Guitar Showdown", with her guitar making loud noises that stuns nearby racers. During the All-Star Move, her vehicle is surrounded by purple/pink musical notes.
