A personal computer, also known as a PC, is a multi-purpose computer built for use by an end-user. PC hardware is interacted with using an operating system, a software platform that allows applications to be executed, such as word processors, web browsers, and video games. The most widely used operating systems for PCs are Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Various games in the Sonic the Hedgehog series have been released for PC platforms, both physically on CD-ROMs and DVD-ROMs, and digitally via distribution services such as RealArcade, Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Mac App Store.
